The Axis Y Sunday morning refreshing cleansing foam should be the one cleanser you get this year if you have dry and sensitive skin. No kidding. Have you been looking for a product that will clean your face completely, wash away your makeup, won’t dry your skin, and isn’t oil? If your answer is yes, then stop right here! The Axis-Y Sunday morning refreshing cleansing foam is going to be your new best friend.
Now before we go any further, I would like to state that I have been given their products to try, however, I wasn’t asked to talk about them a certain way, I am here to share my own thoughts and opinion of the items gifted to me. However, being a skincare nerd and a lover of all things Korean beauty, it wasn’t hard to convince me to work with Axis Y, when they first approached me.
Their product range is amazing and I was gifted with an almost full routine of skincare for my dry and sensitive skin. Now, while I am over the moon with the cleanser and I will probably stock up on it for the next ten years, I have had other products to try, and let me tell you: not all of them are perfect. Stay with me, if you want to know what worked for me and what didn’t – Trust me, you will not regret it!
But before I head into a deep dive about the Sunday morning refreshing cleansing foam and all the other goodies I have received from Axis-Y, let me introduce the brand to you.
Table of Contents
Who is Axis-Y? What does the brand stand for?
Axis-Y is a vegan-certified brand by the Korean Vegan Association. They are committed to only using plant-derived ingredients in our products. It starts well, doesn’t it? In my personal routine, I use products that aren’t fully plant-derived, however I appreciate great products and the effort put into the skincare brand.
To top this, they are cruelty-free, which is actually something I cannot look over. Testing on animals has never been ok, but in the 21st century we should know (and do) better! Big thumbs up for this. However, what has sparked my interest the most is their goal to be “Climate inspired”.
They say: “Our skin experiences an ever-growing complex environment influenced by growing pollution, stressors, and climate change.
In addition, with the rise of traveling, more people have realized the unique skin concerns arising by their climate and the need for more personalized skincare. As the first creators of climate- inspired skincare, we seek to deliver this higher level of personalized care for our global community.
As a person, who travels often, I have found this such a beautiful concept and I couldn’t wait to test out the products, especially the Sunday morning refreshing cleansing foam, after I have agreed to work with them. More on that in a little bit, why this product has a special place in my heart and why it was so important for me.”
The reason why I highlighted this specific product is because I have been looking forward to finding a cream type cleanser that takes my makeup off and hydrates as well. I have been using many things before with different textures and before the Sunday morning refreshing foam came into my life, I was using an oil based cleanser from Purito and of course Bioderma’s Micellar Water.
While I love the Bioderma, it dries my skin a lot – but I will not deny how effective it is with heavy eye makeup. I bought the Purito for hydration and to remove the eye makeup, but I feel like it’s just a lot of work and requires another face wash. Then I got Axis-Y’s incredible cleansing foam, the mentioned Sunday Morning refreshing cleansing foam.
It has a subtle scent, it is very creamy in texture and you only need the tiniest bit to clean your whole face. I am not joking. This product is very gentle on the skin, did not irritate me at all and did not dry out my skin, after I used it. The texture, scent and efficiency is the holy trinity for me. I am 100% purchasing it with my own money, after I ran out of the package I received.
Given this, I would rate the product 10/10.
It retails for $12.
This toner smells like apples right after you cut them. Fresh, sweet and citrus all in a bottle. It has a really watery texture, which I did not mind at all, therefore it is an essence toner. I am typically not drawn towards toners too much, as they tend to dry my skin out, but again – it helped me improve. I am sure the hyaluronic-acid has a lot to do with it, as it helps with pumping and prepping my skin for the rest of my skincare routine.
This product in my opinion is also a solid 10/10.
It retails for $18.
This product is super light-weight and barely has any scent. It hydrates well and your skin can soak it in easily (at least mine did), therefore I think it can be a beautiful choice for anyone with a dry, sensitive complexion. I would double-down on sensitivity, because these products all feel really calming and as someone who has been dealing with eczema her whole life, it is a big relief.
The one thing I would mention here is that where I live in Europe, the air is really dry and also it is winter now, therefore I would maybe enjoy it even more, if the serum was a little thicker. But frankly, for all other seasons, it is just perfect, highly recommended.
I would rate it 9/10.

This was my least favorite product from the range, however it doesn’t mean it is bad. It is a super light-weight product, a little bit watery in texture and barely has any scent. My only issue with it was that I found it too light-weight. To give you a little comparison, I use the thickest moisturizers possible on my skin during the winter, which you can get on the market – so you can guess how dry my skin is.
I had to put on layers of this cream, and I still felt dry an hour later. But, the formula is super smoothing and gentle and I am sure this would make the perfect cream during the summer, when my skin doesn’t need the hydration of a small village.
I would rate it 7/10.
It retails for $20.
We all need a best friend and in skincare, it’s your SPF. I would say from this line, mine is still the Sunday Morning refreshing cleansing foam, but we all need SPF. No, no questions asked you do…And the Complete no-stress physical sunscreen is a good choice from Axis-y.
You don’t need a thick layer, it has a thicker texture (which I love), but also a heavier scent, which has reminded me of herbs. I didn’t mind it, but this is something to remember, if scents may trigger you.
I have found it quite hydrating which is always a plus as my skin is insanely dry, like I mentioned above, therefore thick creams are always welcome. I have been enjoying this product, the only downside to it is, that for some reason it doesn’t work well with my BB cream, they kind of just sit on top of each other.
But, if I have a day without BB cream or with foundation, it’s the perfect choice, I don’t need to worry at all, I have been having a pleasant time wearing it on my skin.
I would rate it 8/10.
It retails for $23.
Summary of Axis Y Sunday morning refreshing cleansing foam and all the goodies from them
All in all, I think it is a beautiful brand, a very good start and I have been enjoying working with their products. I have tried their whole range for dry, sensitive skin and I can confidently say: the products are as gentle as advertised.
I would like to point out again that I was not asked to say only nice things, so trust me when I say I love them. I have also been testing them over four weeks, before writing this article to make sure I can give a thorough summary.
Should you spend money on Axis-Y products? Are they affordable?
I am happy to let you know that their brand is absolutely affordable, which is a huge plus plus! Not everyone can afford La Mer in their daily routine (or at all) and they should not feel left out. The fact that this brand is economically conscious, cruelty free and affordable is what makes it all the better.
Creating something with value matters and I believe these products have value and I am super grateful that I have had the chance to try and test them out.
What have I been missing?
Missing is a bit blunt to say, but in the future, it would be amazing to see, if they may formulate their own retinol and also a heavy, super thick moisturizer. I would be the first person to purchase them both, but I am especially excited about the possibility of a thicker moisturizer.
I hope you enjoyed this review, where I shared my thoughts on these products and I also hope you have found something that would help your skin glow more everyday.
