But first, before we dive into what you’re really here for, let me just say that I have not been paid to write this review. So if you’re wondering if this is my honest review, it is. And you can trust me when I say – like all my reviews – I don’t sugarcoat my experiences just because I like the brand or because I’m working with them.

But first, before we dive into what you’re really here for let me just say that I have been gifted the products mentioned in this article. However, I was not told to talk about them in a certain way or paint them in a positive light if I didn’t believe they deserved it.

So if you’re wondering if this is my honest review, it is. And you can trust me when I say – like all my reviews – I don’t sugarcoat my experiences just because I like the brand or because I’m working with them.

Now on to answering some of your burning questions!

iUNIK Who? What makes them unique?

iUNIK is a Korean skincare brand that prioritizes minimalism during this age of excess. I’m no stranger to Korean skincare and iUNIK is one of my favorite brands.

I’ve been using them for over 3 years and have found that some of their products work extremely well for my very dry skin.

Their whole mission is to make skincare that is effective, made of natural ingredients, and are priced reasonably. We are talking, ashy, eczema and all the horror of dryness.

They’re wholeheartedly against creating ‘fancy’ or ‘gimmicky’ products for the sake of it. Each and every single product they launch has a function and is there to treat your skincare concerns.

They don’t want their customers to be buying ‘useless’ products that don’t have any other function besides looking good on a bathroom counter.

This simplicity is carried forward in their packaging which is as straightforward as their brand. They keep in mind not to use excessive packaging or waste where they can save.

What do iUNIK value most?

iUNIK’s clever name is actually an acronym that displays its core principles.

In short, they stand for being a brand that’s ideal for your skin, unique, natural, has the best ingredients, and a brand that continues to expand its know-how in the skincare industry.

This means they’re always going to be researching what’s best and what’s next when it comes to beauty.

Although their cream is called the iUNIK snail cream, no tiny creatures were hurt in the making of it. As you may know, brands being animal friendly is super important to me. It’s something I actively look out for when buying new skincare products.

So I couldn’t be happier when I found the iUNIK cruelty-free signage on their bottles.

If you’re like me and this is an important aspect to you as well then rest assured that iUNIK is a brand that cares for even the smallest of creatures.

Other than this I’ve always felt that iUNIK was a brand that deeply cared about what they sold, which is something as a consumer and a reviewer, I really respect.

My unbiased opinion on the iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream

So how did the iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream work for me? Honestly not great. Now I’m not too sure how it worked for other dry skin queens, but I couldn’t seem to get the cream to work.

I tried everything to get the most out of my product to no avail.

One of the main issues I was having was that it didn’t last very long on my skin. For some reason, even after I reapplied it 5 minutes after its initial application, it still didn’t last and seemed to disappear. But not in a good way.

When using it, I didn’t feel any kind of hydration at all. I was even more disappointed to find that I had better-hydrated skin when I used the Purito BB Cream (You can find my review on it here) instead of this iUNIK snail restore cream.

I was incredibly disappointed by this because as I’ve mentioned before, I truly love the iUNIK brand. Now I don’t actually think this cream was all that bad.

The cream was made for sensitive and dry skin so it was true to it’s claim because I never had any irritation when I was using it. In my honest iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream Review I just think this product didn’t suit my desert-dry skin.

But taking a look at the ingredients I can tell that it was made with a lot of thought and care.

Now to be perfectly transparent, I am no dermatologist and I haven’t been certified in cosmetic chemistry. However, I do research a lot about skin care ingredients since skincare is one of my passions.

So, just to be clear my opinions of the iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream ingredients will be based purely on what I’ve learned from other skincare aficionados and my own experiences. I am no expert by any means.

iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream ingredients

Firstly, this cream is alcohol-free, fragrance-free, and essential oil-free. So this is already a big win as these ingredients are known irritants and I’m glad iUNIK has done without them in this product. Especially because it’s aimed towards sensitive skin.

Furthermore, they’ve got a bunch of great ingredients like glycerin which is a great natural moisturizer, adenosine which has anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties, and finally, Licorice Root Extract which is one of the safest skin lightening agents.

Bear in mind that these ingredients are used in the safest quantities in the iUNIK cream itself.

The highlight of this cream is obviously its Black Snail Slime Extract. This is a star ingredient when it comes to repairing and hydrating skin. The snail slime also acts as an antioxidant.

According to inciDecoder, you’re definitely getting your money’s worth as this product contains 58% Black Snail Extract.

According to the authors of The Beauty Brains Blog – who are all cosmetic chemists and scientists – snail slime is a complex composition of ingredients that can actually be great for your skin.

So it’s honestly worth a shot trying this iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream. My experience in this iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream Review is solely my own, so you really won’t know how it works for you unless you try it yourself.

But make sure – like with any new skincare product – to test out the cream on a test patch beforehand to be certain you don’t have any reactions to it.

iUNIK Products that did work for me

Now although this is an iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream review, I really wanted to mention products from iUNIK that worked out splendidly for me.

Since I’ve been using iUNIK for 3 years I’ve found that I absolutely loved my journey with them. Their Propolis line in particular has worked wonders for me!

Personally, I think their propolis line is one of the best iUNIK products to date. Propolis is often referred to as bee glue and is basically the gummy substance accumulated by bees in their hives over time.

In the world of skincare, it’s known as a superstar all-rounder ingredient. It has anti-inflammatory properties, is antifungal, antibacterial, and more! It also acts as an antioxidant and an antiseptic.

So basically, it’s a whole lot of good that does a whole lot more good.

I love all the iUNIK Propolis products from A to Z but the ultimate favorites that I can’t seem to live without would have to be the serum and the sleeping mask.

The Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum is much like the iUNIK serum snail restore one when you compare its consistencies. Although they have different functions, they both felt non-greasy, fluid, and lightweight.

Now here’s one of my best-kept secrets that I’m only telling you guys. When you layer the Propolis Vitamin Sleeping Mask over the Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum at night you’ll be left with the most magically moisturized skin in the morning.

When I first tried this combo out I wondered if magical water fairies had hydrated my skin as I slept. That’s how good it felt! I couldn’t believe how moisturizing it felt whilst being super comfortable on the skin.

Other than the Propolis line, I’m a big fan of the Calendula line, especially the Calendula Cleansing oil.

Let me tell you, it doesn’t matter how long-wearing your lipstick or mascara promises to be, this oil will melt it right off your face.

Even when I used the oil with some makeup products that other melting balms have had trouble removing in the past, the iUNIK Calendula oil had no issues taking it off.

And it made my skin feel so freaking good after!

Often when you’ve got a product that removes makeup this good, it leaves your skin feeling stripped dry and tight.

But I had no issue at all! This cleansing oil not only removed my makeup but left my skin feeling soothed and hydrated.

If you’re part of the dry skin club, I highly recommend these 3 products as I truly think the best products iUNIK has to offer.

Final Thoughts

My final thoughts on this iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream review is that although it didn’t work out for me, this restore cream could do wonders for you!

Its ingredients are top-notch and are formulated with a lot of research and care.

In general, I believe that whatever you try from the iUNIK Korean Skincare brand you’ll find something you love. That’s just how good they are.

I can only end this iUNIK Black Snail Restore Cream review by saying that this cream may not have been my dry skin buddy, but it could be yours!

Products work differently on different types of skin, so if you don’t have extremely dry skin like I do, this may be a great moisturizer for you!

I hope you enjoyed this review and could take away something from my experiences with iUNIK. As always, If you are curious to read more about all things fashion, beauty, interior design and Pinterest, don’t forget to sign up to my mailing list. I hope to see you there!

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of
plagorism or copyright infringement? My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either written myself
or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement.

Do you know any techniques to help reduce content from being ripped off?

    I’d genuinely appreciate it.

      Hi Isabelle,

Thank you for your question! Based on my outlines it’s either me or my writers who create the articles, but of course, I double-check it to make sure it is unique, as I have no interest in using someone else’s article. Given that, our content may be ripped off. First, I would suggest letting the offender know about their violation and see, if there is any room for a change within the article. I hope this helps.
